September 26th proved to be a very interesting day for us. We started out the day in the hospital "enjoying" increasing doses of pitocin. Although things did not go as planned, by 8:22 p.m. we had ourselves a beautiful screaming baby girl! Emilia's lungs were in full swing, thank goodness! She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and measured 20 inches long. She even had a little bit of blonde hair covering her tiny little head. We're so excited to watch her grow and learn. The first week and a half have gone by quicker than expected.
Her first doctor's appointment was this past Friday. She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz when she left the hospital, but managed to gain 5 oz in three days! Everything looks great!
Week two doctor's appointment is this Friday. So far, so good.
