Keeping Us On Our Toes

Each stage of childhood offers new adventures. When the midnight feedings stopped and sleep was in more abundance, new challenges took its place (apparently God knew we needed that extra sleep to deal with what was ahead). Emilia keeps us running and watching constantly. Her independence and necessity to get her hands and feet and mouth on everything she sees can be exhausting.

She and I were in the same room; she ran out. About five minutes later, I realize I can't hear her. Absolute silence! NOT a good sign. I walk into the kitchen, and this is what I see:




Go figure!
