I can't believe our baby is 22 months old today! I feel year 2 is flying by faster than year 1, if that is even possible. We don't go to the doctor again until she turns 2, but she's definitely growing longer and heavier. She's quickly leaving behind her 18 month clothes and size 5 shoes.
Her vocabulary is increasing exponentially, and she's putting words together I didn't know she could. She's becoming a master at taking off her shoes and her diaper (even with her pants on sometimes).
Emilia loves using a fork and spoon, but still needs some help with coordination. Her favorite foods are cheese, turkey, crackers, fruit, and BROCCOLI! This girl asks for broccoli morning, noon, and night! "Yum," she says as she eats every bite! Gotta love a toddler who enjoys her vegetables.
She knows her ABCs...singing the song AND recognizing letters independently. She can count to 13, but doesn't know how to really count items.
Her favorite shows are Backyardigans, Sesame Street, and Dinosaur Train. Her favorite characters are Minnie/Mickey Mouse (used interchangeably), Dora, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Big Bird. Don't forget the Disney Princesses either because if they could be, they'd be her best friends! Her current interests are trains (playing with, reading, watching), animals, baby dolls (feeding, rocking, carrying), going outside, reading, singing, and running.
Emilia has become much more outspoken with her desires, but is still a sweet child who adores life. She always has a smile on her face and a "thank you" on her lips (yes, even when not being prompted). Her love for animals (wild and domestic) is great, warranting many deterrents from giving them all hugs and kisses.
What an exciting age!
