Our summer begins...

with Philip taking a temporary job in Jacksonville, Florida to flip houses. He learned quite the array of helpful skills to keep in his "tool belt," such as tearing down drywall, putting up drywall, installing cabinetry, installing lighting, etc. etc. He was the busy man working 12-15 hour days (he often grew tired of just looking at the beach out the car window instead of enjoying the sand between his toes). He came back home a few weeks later to carry his family down with him.

Our trek started in Montgomery, Alabama where my dear cousin, Elesha, added four more to her family in a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony. It was Emilia's first wedding and she was so excited she couldn't stand it. In fact, I'm pretty sure the photographer captured interesting pictures of a three year old lifting her dress and making funny faces.

After the wedding, we continued our journey to Jacksonville where we met Philip's Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Mike. They were kind enough to let us stay for two weeks.
