Emilia is putting together consonants and vowels more and more everyday. Two weeks ago Philip and I could've promised we heard her say "hi" as she looked up at Philip to wish him a good day. But, alas, she has not said it since.
HOWEVER, later that week I heard her say "Mama!" What?? Could it be?? Did she say my name?? I told Philip, but he didn't believe me (go figure). Then, a few days later, I heard her say it again, but she will never say it around other people. (She says it when she is a little fussy and wants to get my attention.) THEN, last night, when I wasn't home, she said it!! She said it to Philip and to Grand T. They both heard her, so there's no denying it! Emilia said "mama." Of course, I want to believe that she wanted me when she said it (and probably did), but I'm not sure she can put two and two together yet. I definitely run over to her in full speed when she calls my name, though. ;) There's no doubt the association will happen soon.
We're working on "dada" or "daddy" or even a "d" sound, but no luck yet. :( Poor, Daddy!
