First Trip to the Zoo

Many firsts for Emilia recently. Today: First Trip to the Zoo. Due to mounting hunger, she wasn't too enthralled with the first bird and monkey we saw, but get a little food in her, and she was anxious to get out of her stroller and make "nice" with the animals. For this reason, I didn't think it wise to go to the petting zoo. Elephants and meerkats seemed to be her favorite because they were more active than the rest. She would squeal with delight as they came nearer.

The meerkats came up close to see Emilia. Five of them came right by the glass where she stood. This made her day!

She wasn't too interested in the flamingos because we were in our nap-time zone, but I thought they were pretty. They even put on a little performance, flapping their wings all at once.
