While Emilia took her only nap of the day (argh! but she did sleep through the night), we ate and played cards. It was an enjoyable time with laughter, banter, and "friendly" cheating! Okay, I'm only sort of kidding about the cheating part. It was nice to have both sides of the family together in one place and not end up like the Griswolds family Christmas. Emilia did wake up to enjoy looking at the Christmas lights.

The next day we went to my aunt's and enjoyed the day-after-Christmas special of delicious ham and turkey sandwiches. Again, Emilia slept through the festivities.
